The Gold Coast Marathon was mentioned above but in Masters News second place finisher Kenneth Mungara took 30 seconds off his World Record for 43 year olds with a time of 2:09:04

101 year old Julia Hawkins sets a world record for the 100 yard dash at 36.62 at the recent National  Senior Games in Birmingham Alabama
